I will also investigate this now and try to isolate the problem in different conditions. I have solved it by pressing the key, corresponding to the stuck note again.

DP6.01 serves as a VI host, MSI, Kontakt3 and Wallander loaded. I am using Finale's "smart" MIDI thru function. I have had a few stuck notes with same conditions you described above. I'm very curious, do you have the same problem? That is, when you're on Speed Entry, and the MIDI THRU in Finale is set to some midi instrument that plays back, and you play the Nanokey, you hear what you play but after a while, a note is stuck and you have to choose 'All notes off' from the MIDI/Audio menu? Even if you never use playback, could you please test this with the in-built sounds or Garritan, to see if you get stuck notes, too? Finale support was not willing to test the Nanokey to see if they can repeat the problem. Finale support couldn't help, and they refused to even understand the problem I describe. There are no stuck notes when I use Nanokey in Digital Performer, Logic, Ableton Live, or Bidule, or standalone softsynths, so I suspect this is some kind of bug, or compatibility issue in Finale. These stuck notes ONLY appear when using Finale. When using it with Finale, there are frequent stuck notes in the Midi Thru Playback, regardless of playback instrument (softsynth or hardware, MIDI or AU). I have experienced problems with my Nanokey. On the other hand, the MacBookPro's trackpad has really spoiled me and I'm working on making one to use with the MacPro so I don't need the mouse.

It works really well and Speedy Entry on the laptop is finally just as easy as on a computer with a full keyboard. Works as a normal numeric keypad, tested it with speedy entry.

Bought it from AppStore, installed connect App on mac too. As to why not earlier, you could say that about every new gadget. They are cheaper in the US though, sorry Kaumann. I have been getting them for my friends as gifts. Sure you don't want to have to compose a symphony on it, but for getting notes in and checking things it is great. 90% of the time it is taken as a 'just in case' and is not needed. For going to sessions or traveling I used to lug an oxygen 8. If you know any product comparable to NanoKey, please post the link.

I also stated, I have been using M-Audio's O2. about 10 times heavier than NanoKey, also much bigger. Software: Finale, TGTools, Wallander Instruments, Motu Symphonic Instrument + Ethno Instrument & Digital Performer, Melodyne cre8, RaySpace, Plogue Bidule, QuicKeys, Kontakt+ more I wrote this just to inform fellow Finale users, I am not affiliated to Korg, or any Korg dealer. The gadget is inexpensive too: between 50-60 EUR. I bet- others will follow, in december I tried to get NanoKey in Netherlands and it was sold out. An ultra-light, small MIDI Keyboard for laptop users. The only question remains: why now? The need for this product has been here for years. For me it is really a blessing: weight 220 grams, 2 octaves. KORG came out this autumn with a keyboard called NanoKey. Have been carrying M-Audi O2 on my back- relatively big and heavy. I am using Speedy: note from MIDI keyboard, duration from computer keyboard. If I'd just been entering notes then simple entry and a computer keyboard would be enough. Now to the point: I need a MIDI keyboard for work. it is very stupid to leave your work in a minivan when you go to 5 hour walk in Paris (for example). So often I find myself in a situation where I have to carry all my valuable gear in a backbag for hours. This involves a lot of driving from one concert location to another. I am on travel for about 1/4 of a year with a few early music ensembles.

Since the first model of MacBook Pro, I am mobile with my work. I have been composing directly into Finale for past decades. Maybe this concerns some of you, anyway, I will share my experience.
